Advocate Dr. Aastha Dahal is a dedicated lawyer with a diverse career in legal practice and consulting. She earned her PhD in Criminology from the University of Cambridge, where she focused on research related to police conflict resolution programs for cases of spousal violence.

Dr. Dahal also holds a Master’s degree in Criminological Research from Cambridge, a Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) from Nepal Law Campus, and a Bachelor of Arts with Combined Honors in Human Rights and Law from Carleton University, Canada.

In 2020, Dr. Dahal made history as the first Nepali to be elected President of the Cambridge University Student’s Union. She came into the public spotlight in July 2023 when she shared her experiences on Facebook about facing challenges in getting her educational qualifications recognized by Tribhuvan University.

Dr. Aastha Dahal continues to make significant contributions to the legal field while advocating for education and justice.
